Newmarket started off very brightly with good passing and movement but didn't create any real clear chances at goal. Despite the early pressure Town fell behind after Cottenhams first attack. Soon they were 2-0 down which is how it stayed till half time. After the break Town gave away a free-kick on the edge of the area which Cottenham converted but that seemed to spark Town into life. They started to play together and created a lot of chances. It was not long beforeTown got back into the match when man of match Jemima Gedny found Jordan Sharpe who fired home with his weaker foot.

Keeping camped in Cottenhams half they soon added a second when Lachie Allan converted a Sharpe pass. The same two could have added more but a good display by the visitors goalkeeper and the woodwork came to their rescue. Josh Purr, Kyle Lomas and Callum Stevens all played well with Stevens having a good shot. Jack Robertson and Jemima Gedny both had chances to get Towns equaliser which they deserved, but it just wouldn't happen. Overall managers are really pleased with how the season went.

MANAGERS WOULD LIKE TO SAY WELL DONE TO ALL THE KIDS FOR THEIR EFFORT THROUGHOUT THE SEASON.

Newmarket started well putting Burwell under real pressure, a good header by Kyle Lomas went just wide it was as close as they came to opening the scoring in the first half. Despite all the early pressure Burwell came back strong which lead to them to score their first goal. Good defending kept Burwell at bay until Burwell broke through to score a second.

After the break the second half saw more good defending by Josh Purr, Callum Stevens and Kyle Lomas. Newmarket played some really good football and created a few chances but shots by Lachie Allan, Jordan Sharpe and Scott Bailey could not find the net. Burwell rounded off the game with their third. The scoreline flattered Burwell because if Town had taken their chances it could of been a different story.

Newmarket entertained Burwell looking for a better performance than when they visited there as they lost 6-2. In an even game both sides played some good football without any side creating any really clear chances. J Purr and K Lomas were playing well at the back and J Robertson was working hard up front. The midfield of J Sharpe, L Allan and J Godfrey were making tackles and had a few good runs each. When S Bailey, J Gedny and K Finneran came on they kept up the good work to go in at half-time 0-0.

Burwell took the lead soon after the restart with what looked like a cross but it somehow ended up in the net.Town could have scored soon after when Burwell had a corner which the Town defence cleared to Sharpe who ran down the left wing and supplied a perfect ball to Gedny who could not quite finish off what would of been a really good move. L Allan had a shot moments later which resulted in the Burwell keeper pulling of a good save. Newmarket kept trying to get the equaliser they deserved but overall it was a lot better performance than when we last played them. COACHES WERE REALLY PLEASED WITH HOW WELL ALL THE KIDS BATTLED..

Newmarket travelled to Bottisham on a bright but windy day. Town started off well without putting the home sides goal under any real threat. Bottisham opened the scoring direct from a corner which went over the keeper and hit the back post and went in. Jack Robertson soon had Towns real first chance when his shot hit the post. A nice one -two between Jemima Gedny and Jordan Sharpe soon followed, with Sharpe just putting his shot inches wide. Bottisham nearly made it 2-0 moments later with a repeat of the first goal but this time the post saved Town. Newmarket then made it 1-1 after Lachie Allan, who was playing really well won a free-kick on the edge of the area but unfortunately he got hurt in the tackle. Scott Bailey stepped up to take the free-kick which hit the wall and fell to Jack Robertson who rounded the keeper and crossed for James Godfrey who stroked the ball home unmarked at the back post.

After the break Town played some excellent football with good passing and movement. They went into the lead when Jordan Sharpe took a corner which hit Lachie Allan then came back to him and he placed the ball into the bottom left corner. Despite great performances by goalkeeper J Butcher and defenders K Lomas, C Stevens and J Purr they could not stop Bottisham making it 2-2. Town kept trying for a winner but in the end had to settle for a draw.

MANAGERS WERE REALLY PLEASED WITH ALL THE KIDS WELL DONE!

Newmarket went into this game on the back of a recent run of wins but they knew it was going to be a hard game against an unbeaten Waterbeach side. Waterbeach started of the better but good defending by Kyle Lomas and Josh Purr kept them at bay. Jordan Butcher in the Town goal played very well pulling of some very good saves. As the half went on Town started to put the visitors goal under pressure with the keeper pulling of good saves from Jordan Sharpe and Lachie Allan. The same two combined minutes later to open the scoring. Lachie Allan took a corner which fell to Jordan Sharpe who fired his shot into the bottom left hand corner . It was no more than Town deserved to get to half time at 1-0.

After the break Waterbeach hit back straight away. It was disappointing because it was a very sloppy goal to give away which brought them back into the game. Moments later they scored again. Town kept trying but could not find the equaliser they deserved. It was a shame to end their unbeaten run but overall managers were very pleased with how the team played and battled against the best team in the league.WELL DONE !

Town travelled to Littleport on a very windy day looking to extend their unbeaten run.. In the first half Town had to battle against the wind but by passing the ball around on the floor and dribbling with it they created a few chances but could not find the back of the net. With the wind helping Littleport the Town defence of Josh Purr and Kyle Lomas had to be on their best form asTown managed to go in at halftime 0-0.

In the second half with the wind behind them Town played some lovely football. Lachie Allan then took a corner which the keeper could not hold and Jack Robertson converted to open the scoring which was no more than they deserved. It was not long before the Town where 2-0 up as the Littleport defence fell asleep, James Godfrey played a short corner to Lachie Allan who took two touches before striking a surperb shot into the top lefthand corner. After Littleport had a corner the ball fell to man of match Lachie Allan who broke down the left wing and played a perfect ball for Jordan Sharpe who finished well to round off another great performance. Managers were pleased with the whole team . Well done.

Newmarket started off very well with some good passing. The breakthrough came when Lachie Allan scored with a well hit shot. Allan could have added a second but his shot hit the crossbar. Man of the match Scott Bailey scored Towns second. Jordan Sharpe then made it 3-0 at half-time.

After the break Town had to change their side about as Callum Stevens hurt his ankle which was a big blow. It did not seem to stop the scoring as Jack Kirwin scored two quick goals. Kai Finneran then scored from a tight angle to take his seasons tally to two. With Town in control they moved J .Butcher out of goal and also put Josh Purr up front from his normal defensive roll. It was not long before he scored with a volley at the near post and all his team mates were very pleased for him. Sharpe added another to make it 8-0 before Purr who was enjoying himself up front rounded off the scoring for his second. Stretham kept trying but it was only going to be Towns day.

Coaches were pleased with how well all the kids played.

Newmarket continued their recent good form with a fine win against a very spirited Soham team. Jordan Sharpe opened the scoring after good work from Jack Robertson. The same two combined for Sharpe to score with a well taken goal. Scott Bailey then put Sharpe through to score his hatrick. Town kept pressurising the Soham goal but it was not until right on half-time that Jemima Gedny scored to make it 4-0.

After the break Town played in the same way keeping the Soham goal under threat with Sharpe, Bailey and Jack Kirwin all going close. It was not until a goal mouth scramble which was touched home by Jjordan Butcher that Town could add to their score. Gedny then scored her second to make it 6-0 and round off a good performance.

Jack Robertson was Towns man of the match.

Newmarket had their first game for two weeks against a Witchford side who they last played against. Town started off very brightly with some good movement and passing. They went 1-0 up after good passing between Jack Robertson and Jordan Sharpe which resulted in Robertson having a shot which rebounded to Sharpe who headed home. Robertson made it 2-0 after he was put through by man of the match Kyle Lomas. Robertson who had a good game then scored his second to make it 3-0 at half time.

After the break Witchford made it more difficult. Newmarket then scored a wonderful team goal which was very pleasing to see. Jack Kirwin was happy as he got the last touch. Well done lads everyone played their part in a good win.

Newmarket got back to winning ways after a few defeats. They soon put the Witchford goal under threat with a couple of long range shots but is was not until Lachie Allan played a ball through for Jack Kirwin to score. Allan then went on a run past three defenders and placed the ball past the keeper to make it 2-0 at half time.

Just 22 seconds had passed in the second half when Scott Bailey had a throw in to Jordan Sharpe who passed to James Godfrey to score with his first chance of the game. Godfrey then played Sharpe in who hit a good shot past the keeper to make it 4-0. Godfrey who had a good game then made it 5-0 with his second, he then set up Bailey who scored with his head at the back post. Sharpe then rounded of the scoring with his second of the game to complete a good win. Jjosh Purr and Kyle Lomas both played well at the back to keep a clean sheet. Lachie Allan was Towns man of the match with an all action display.

WELL DONE LADS.
